Eiffelgres floors, at Moscow's Vnukovo airport
In Russia, Italian style and state-of-the-art construction technology bear the mark of Eiffelgres, the leading manufacturer of "technical vitrified stoneware" slabs and member of the Iris Ceramica S.p.A group.
At Moscow Vnukovo Airport, where planned extension work (download pdf) includes an International Terminal capable of handling 3 million passengers per year, new business and cargo terminals, a 4,000-space car park, a special elevated link to the Moscow underground system and a Duty Free area, this last-named is to be covered entirely with flooring from the Eiffelgres "Corton" collection, a particularly eye-catching stone, the result of a hi-tech production process that is able to produce slabs of varying appearance.
For Vnukovo airport the choice has fallen on the natural version of the 30 x 30 size that makes the most of the material's aesthetic and architectural qualities, this being matched with "Pierre Bleue lappata " 30 x 30 that intensifies the smoothness of the stone.
The "Corton" and "Pierre Bleue" collections guarantee the highest levels of performance as far as flexural strength and resistance to frost, abrasion, thermal shock and chemicals are concerned and are therefore becoming increasingly popular in public buildings and areas where they provide the aesthetic quality of Italian Style coupled with unrivalled wear and ease of maintenance.
Furthermore, all Eiffelgres slabs are natural products, manufactured with nothing but the finest earths and minerals and masterful, ground-breaking use of natural processes.
