Lastranera and Pietra di Beaune two new collections

Eiffelgres, member of the Iris Ceramica S.p.A. group and leading manufacturer of "technical vitrified stoneware" slabs, brings " Lastranera " and "Pietra di Beaune" to Cersaie 2004, two exclusive new collections inspired by natural stone that reproduce its beauty whilst improving technical performance in order to meet the needs of contemporary architecture.

LASTRANERA, the name given to slate by sixteenth-century Ligurian quarrymen, and PIETRA di BEAUNE (three surfaces Pietra Di Beaune Gris, Pietra Di Beaune Bleue, Pietra Di Beaune Ambre), alluding to the Caves in that region of France, are the synthesis of simple raw materials worked using natural techniques that Eiffelgres guides through every stage of production using unique leading-edge technology and special manufacturing processes.

Their versatile design is capable of interpreting contemporary and progressive styles, creating innovative eye-catching materials of the very highest quality for state-of-the-art residential building and public areas that need to be hard-wearing, whilst leaving a lasting impression.

Lastranera and Pietra di Beaune have been given a thickness of 11 mm in order to achieve the twin objective of improving thermal insulation and soundproofing and at the same time withstanding the daily stress placed on high-traffic areas such as: banks, shops, bars, restaurants, hotels, schools, shopping centres, airports, etc.

The perfectly straight edges and optimum sizing guarantee perfect laying of all types without dimensional restrictions. Surfaces are extremely easy to clean and come in a "natural" version or with "royal antique" finish, these having differing degrees of brightness.

The designer may alternate the two surface types and use the accessories, special pieces and different sizes to create original, inimitable rooms, perfectly designed to make the most of architecture and furnishing style, in order to enjoy freedom of expression and maximum user-friendliness.
